UET Mixers is a mechanical and industrial engineering company from Mechanic Falls, ME. The company is a division of Down East Machine and Engineering Inc. They design, engineer, and manufacture their mixers from two facilities located in Maine.

UET has many years of experience designing mixers for wastewater treatment systems. Many wastewater treatment processes require precise mixing control at every stage, including rapid flash mixing, chemical blending, and polymer addition. Some chemicals need to be dissolved, others—such as lime slurries—require special attention.

UET provides mixers for all types of wastewater treatment processes including conventional activated sludge, aerobic basins, anoxic basins, IFAS systems, MBBR reactors zones, Bardenpho, nitrification, denitrification, and many more. They offer various shaft lengths to fit tank basin depths and high-torque, low-speed motors and gear reducers with VFDs. Impeller design determines directional flow and level of pumping needed within a tank basin.
