Gorman-Rupp Eradicator Plus for Wastewater Pumping Reduces Pump Clogging

Gorman-Rupp’s Eradicator Plus Prevents Pump Clogging

<yoastmark class=

Gorman-Rupp’s Eradicator Plus™ effectively prevents pump clogging, a challenging issue in the wastewater industry. Clearing clogs is both time-consuming and expensive, adding unnecessary costs and downtime. Moreover, pump clogging can lead to overflows, resulting in the discharge of raw sewage into nearby rivers and streams.

This issue has been aggravated by the widespread disposal of wipes into sewer systems, posing a significant challenge to wastewater pumps.

Selecting the appropriate pump is pivotal to reduce clogging problems. Various pump styles and impellers are available, each designed to handle specific types of wastewater and solids.

Selecting the right pump involves many factors, including:

  • Type of liquid pumped
  • Quantity and type of solids present
  • Pump size
  • Fluid velocity through the pump
  • Solids passing capability of the pump
  • Impeller type and speed
  • Impeller speed
  • Cutters and grinders within the pump
